Noble's Promise is way too high, he finished behind the 8-1 favorite (Lookin at Lucky) in his last two by a length and a head. Someone isn't thinking clearly!

I didn't get any future bets down, but if William's Kitten makes it in the gate, and I think he will, he'll be a lot less than 54-1. Having said that, it's ironic that two of the most promising horses, Drosselmeyer and Eskendereya, are coming off Allowance victories instead of stakes wins. And yes TKS, 8-1 on any horse at this stage of the game is nuts.

William's Kitten at 54-1!?!?!

That is just an insult! (that i couldn't resist taking a small piece of).

I would love to talk to someone who thinks that Dryfly, Conveyance, Make Music for Me, Noble's Promise or Concord Point was worthy of their money just to hear why, so i know what lunacy sounds like.

The best prices, if the hype is even close to real, have to be Drosselmeyer and Eskendereya. They are the only two (besides Lucky and maybe Buddy's Saint) that will be lower on Derby day then they are here.

I just don't like the way the Derby Trail is unfolding this year - Lewis and Southwest Stakes put off a week each due to weather - and the overall lack of action (racing) - Rule gets just one more race before the Derby????

I took Maximum Ruler at 76-1 and found out the next day he'll miss the Risen Star. As most Derby followers know missed training time, injury and changes in prep schedules (even before all the weather, FOY, Louisiana Derby, etc.) can be devastating and career changing. This year is looking like another Mine That Bird winner....Yuck!

Looks to me like Maximus Ruler, Ron the Greek and Eskendereya have the most alluring odds when you consider thier recent performances.

Looks like Mr. Battaglia was way off the mark with the 5/2 morning line on The Field.

I think he assigned that based upon past wagering.
Had he looked further he would find that this is such an uninspiring crop at this point in the calendar year. Many of these three year olds will be lucky to get a Grade 3 win before their career is over.

Lookin at Lucky is clearly an underlay at 8/1 given his question mark on the dirt as well as his ability to translate his form as a 3 year old. Buddy's Saint needs to be able to continue to develop his tactical speed as The Todd Squad has several front runners this year than can soften him up if he can not lay in mid-pack.
